dayna pollard photography: Wedding

Okay, so I think I may have over done it here in my picture postings for this wedding. I had several favorites and I like to tell a story when I post my weddings....so hold on to your hats and start scrollin'!

First, a little FYI about the wedding. I've known Matt and Carmen since college so I was super excited when they asked if I would be interested in shooting their wedding. It was held at the most beautiful vineyard in St. Genevieve, Chaumette Winery. It was so romantic and sweet. I want to also say thank you to Jaclyn Jezik of One Twenty Two Photo | Design for being my second shooter that day, she captured some amazing photos! Enjoy!

Also a good friend of mine, Casey Feldt (Much-A-Do Make-Up and Hair) made the journey to do the girls make-up! I must say they looked quite beautiful:)

While I was with the gals, Jaclyn spent some time with Matt, getting those fun pre-ceremony moments:)

There wasn't a dry eye in the room when Carmen opened her gift from Matt (even though she said, "No gifts!"). Carmen's mother passed away many years ago. Since her mother couldn't be there, Matt designed a beautiful glass frame with her mother's photo and a special note engraved allowing her mother to be there with Carmen on her special day:)

I love when brides have special heirlooms tied in with their wedding day. The fabric below with the blue is actually from Carmen's late mother's very own wedding dress.

We can't forget the pups! I love their little bow ties!

Because Matt and Carmen's ceremony and reception were back-to-back they decided to do the first look. In these situations I think the first look is a great idea (if you care about having enough time for pictures of the two of you:). The first look is still so very special, maybe even more special because it is just the

two of you (and me:).

I love the two below Jaclyn took while I was taking other pictures. That is the fun part of having two photographers, you get many different angles!

Don't be fooled, Carmen is not carrying that umbrella to hide from the sun. Unfortunately about 20 minutes before the ceremony (which was obviously outside), it rained. Carmen was such a trooper, it didn't even phase her. Everyone grabbed umbrellas and headed to the ceremony!
