Personal | My Paintings

I was reading a blog the other day called It Looks Good To Me.  She blogs about all sorts of stuff and is very talented at Illustrations.  I was inspired to post a few of my favorite paintings I've created in the past.  Before I started devoting my time to photography I was alwaaays working on a painting.  Before my busy season starts with photography I am determined to create another one...just for fun!

Have you ever gone in to a vintage store or flea market and discovered something so cool...something like old buttons and you have no idea what you would do with them but must have them because their so neat???  (sorry, that was a run-on sentence).  Well my inspiration for the paintings below came from some super old books and maps I found at a vintage store.  I had no idea what I would do with them but finally I figured it out...I'd make a painting with them!!??  With the paintings below I used hodge podge to slop the old pages on canvases and started painting!

This one below is kinda fun because my boyfriend Eric and I both worked on it.  I did the paintings, and you can't see it, but Eric built fabulous wood frames to go around each one them:)
That's all I got for now.  I hope you enjoyed them:)
